The ICA Regional Branch for Central Africa (CENARBICA) is pleased to invite you to the third session of its upcoming series of webinars in April 2025. These virtual sessions are designed to provide a platform for archive professionals across the Central African region to explore key topics related to archival practice, human rights, artificial intelligence, and financial transparency, particularly in the context of the rapidly evolving archival profession. 

The third session, scheduled for Monday, 28 April, will be led by Antonin B. Diouf, a Senegalese expert in archival science and knowledge management. 

The session will be moderated by Veritas Mobembo.

Summary

Artificial Intelligence is transforming professional practices across various fields, including archival work. This session will explore how AI tools can impact archives on one hand, and on the other hand, optimize archival processes, improve efficiency and performance, and enable the management of large datasets.

Antonin B. Diouf

Antonin B. Diouf is a Senegalese expert in archival science and knowledge management. He holds two master's degrees in Information and Document Science and Technology. With more than 30 years of experience, he has contributed significantly to the field, particularly at Gaston Berger University of Saint Louis. He is currently the Head of Library, Documentation, and Knowledge Management Services at the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) of the United Nations.
