The ICA’s Section for Archives of Faith Traditions (SAFT) invites you to an open virtual meeting on 5 November 2024. This meeting will focus on the significance of faith-based archives and the reinvigoration of SAFT, a section that has long championed the preservation and management of archives related to diverse faith traditions.

Originally founded as the Section of Archives of Churches and Religious Denominations in 1995, SAFT was renamed at the ICA Congress in Brisbane in 2012 to reflect a broader and more inclusive approach to faith traditions worldwide. SAFT advocates for the professional management of faith-based archives, ensuring both access and the protection of cultural resources that provide critical insights into the history and practices of various religious and spiritual communities.

This session will be moderated by Emilie Gagnet Leumas, SAFT Chair, Henri Zuber and Sumanta Rudra, both members of the SAFT Steering Committee.

More information on the agenda for this session and details on how to register can be found below.
