The International Council on Archives (ICA) invites the archival community to join a virtual webinar focusing on Sex-Affective and Gender Diversity (SAGD) in the Archives. This session aims to raise awareness about the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities involved in managing documents, records, and collections related to individuals who do not conform to dominant heteronormativity and gender norms, as well as SAGD organizations. Given their specific nature, these materials face a high risk of loss and destruction, making their preservation especially critical.

During this webinar, we will introduce the new ICA Working Group on Sex-Affective and Gender Diversity Archives & Archivists (SAGDAA-WG). This group will serve as a forum for high-level discussions on recognizing SAGD minority worldviews, exploring theories and practices related to SAGD individuals and organizations, and enhancing their participation in professional activities, archives, and archival management.
