The Section on University and Research Institution Archives (SUV) invites you to engage in the next meeting of our discussion group Community—Coffee—Cultures (CCC)!
Scheduled on the last Tuesday of every other month, this group aims to foster community and exchange cultural insights among participants worldwide, all over your favorite beverage. CCC provides an informal platform for fruitful discussion and collaboration. Following a successful launch, we are continuing with new themes of interest to the archival community.
Our fifth 2024 CCC meeting will explore the theme Archival erasure.
Broadly chatting about local and global thoughts and approaches to concepts of erasure within the archival record. These can range from self-censorship within our current political climates to efforts to eliminate cultural records pertaining to entire groups of people. How have you faced erasure within your own work and how do you proactively seek to circumnavigate efforts of erasure? What does erasure look like in your area of the world?
