The Section on University and Research Institution Archives (SUV) invites you to engage in the next meeting of our discussion group Community—Coffee—Cultures (CCC)!
Scheduled on the last Tuesday of every other month, this group aims to foster community and exchange cultural insights among participants worldwide, all over your favorite beverage. CCC provides an informal platform for fruitful discussion and collaboration. Following a successful launch, we are continuing with new themes of interest to the archival community.
This upcoming CCC meeting will explore the theme Mentorship and Continuing Education.
Broadly chatting about mentorship and continuing education for archivists around the world. What does archival mentorship look like for you and other archivists in your area, and what are your mentoring success stories? How do you mentor others in the profession, from younger archivists to those who might be entering the profession from a previous career. If you haven’t experienced mentorship in your own career, what would you hope to gain from being mentored? Continuing education opportunities abound in many areas of the world but may be lacking in others—how do you evaluate and select educational opportunities, budget for the time and expense, and make the most out of the experience?
