This year’s Annual Meeting & Workshop of the ICA Section on International Organisations (SIO) will take place in Manila, Philippines, from 16–20 November 2026. Hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the five-day programme will bring together archives, records, and information professionals from international organisations around the world to exchange knowledge, discuss common challenges, and strengthen professional networks across the international community.
The 2026 meeting is particularly significant as it provides an opportunity to further strengthen SIO’s engagement in the Asia-Pacific region. In the Section’s more than 50-year history, only one previous Annual Meeting has been held in Asia, making Manila an important opportunity to broaden participation, enhance regional visibility, and build new connections with current and prospective members. The meeting will provide a valuable forum for professional exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among colleagues working across international organisations.

Important Accommodation Information
Participants are strongly encouraged to stay at one of the hotels recommended by ADB when registering for the meeting. Travel times within Manila can be considerably longer than expected, particularly during peak traffic periods, and the recommended hotels have been selected with convenience and accessibility in mind. Staying at one of these hotels will help ensure smooth participation throughout the SIO 2026 programme.
