The international conference “No Time to Wait” is set to mark its tenth edition from October 14 to 16, 2026, hosted at Filmoteka Narodowa – Instytut Audiowizualny (FINA) in Warsaw.

This three-day event brings together archivists, software developers, preservation experts, and media professionals from around the world to explore open media practices, open standards, and digital audiovisual preservation. Since its launch in 2016, the conference series has grown into a major forum for collaboration across archives, cultural institutions, and the open-source community.

No Time to Wait combines presentations, discussions, and workshops focused on:

  • collaborative strategies for preserving audiovisual collections;

  • tools and workflows that support open standards;

  • examples of cross-community cooperation and innovation in digital preservation.

The event continues its tradition of blending in-person engagement in Warsaw with online participation, including livestreamed sessions on the MediaArea YouTube channel and opportunities for remote attendees.
