Claude Roberto received a B.A. and a M.A. from the University of Ottawa, Canada, before getting a Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Alberta, Canada. She has been working for 31 years at the Provincial Archives of Alberta as a Private Records Archivist. She was the Secretary General for the Bureau of Canadian Archivists which used to bring together the archivists of Canada belonging to the two national associations reflecting the country’s bilinguism: the Association of Canadian Archivists representing Anglophone archivists and the Association des Archivistes du Québec representing Francophone archivists. She was joint-secretary of the ICA Section of Professional Associations and she is now chairing the ICA Advocacy Expert Group.
