Biography:
Carolina Gonçalves Alves is an Analyst of Documentation and Information of the Center for Research and Documentation of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV CPDPOC). She has a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and master's in Sociology, both from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Now she is a PhD in Sociology, focusing on cultural studies, gender and racial/ethnic issues in the same institution. At CPDOC she works in the organization of personal archives and coordinates the Personal Archives Program working directly in the organization of textual and iconographic historical documents and their technical processing. She is also dedicated to researches about the minor presence of women in the Brazilian archives.
