Yaoundé, Cameroon 2018 Workshop: Archival buildings; standards and developments
This year in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon, the ICA’s Expert Group on Archive Buildings & Environments (EGABE) held a morning workshop on Tuesday, November 27th, to address some of the issues inherent in the management and maintenance of archives storage, and the impacts of buildings, with particular emphasis on African building provision. This workshop built on the successful model continued at the Mexico City conference in 2017.

Archive Buildings & Environments: ICA Member Survey
The Expert Group on Archive Buildings and Environments of the International Council on Archives (ICA) requests that you complete an online survey to enable the group to speak with more authority on building issues within the membership of ICA. The data results will be anonymous, but the data will enable the group to develop a range of activities to service and advise ICA members on best practice, ensure better standards of care for archival collections, and so embed preservation as a key goal across the membership.
