The ICA Forum of National Archivists (FAN) invites its members in good standing to nominate themselves to be part of the FAN Steering Committee. To this end, a call for nominations is now open in order to elect one representative for each of the following two ICA world regions:
- Asia and Oceania
- Latin America and the Caribbean
All FAN Steering Committee members work in close collaboration with the FAN President to fulfil the mandate of FAN. The Forum of National Archivists, comprising Category A members of the ICA, aims to provide support to all members of the ICA through the development of high-level strategic responses.
Elected members of the Steering Committee will be elected for a term of three (3) years and may seek re-election for one (1) consecutive term. The proper performance of the duties of FAN Steering Committee members requires a significant commitment of personal time and draws on the support of their employer institution. The role is voluntary, and no remuneration is offered, nor can it be accepted, for the performance of the functions of the office.
The incoming members shall assume the role at the Annual General Assembly 2025.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the position of elected member of the FAN Steering Committee is restricted to those leading the member institutions in Category A (in good standing) of the following ICA world regions:

A working level knowledge of either English or French (the official languages of the ICA) is required.
All ICA FAN members in good standing from each of the two listed world regions have the right to stand for election to the position of elected members on the FAN Steering Committee.
