The International Council on Archives is pleased to announce the launch of the recruitment process for its next Executive Director. This important role will lead the ICA Secretariat in Paris and guide the organisation’s efforts to advance archives, records management, and documentary heritage on a global scale.
As the most senior member of the Secretariat, the Executive Director advises the Elected Officers and is responsible for putting into action the goals and strategies set by the President, Vice-Presidents, the Executive Board, and the General Assembly. The position involves representing the ICA in international settings, managing staff and financial resources, strengthening governance processes, and developing partnerships that support the ICA’s strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will take up the post no later than mid-June 2026. Applications must be submitted to president@ica.org by 13 February 2026 at 23:59 CET.
