The International Council on Archives (ICA) offers a variety of publications to keep members and professionals in the archives and records management sector informed about the latest news, updates, and trends within the global archival community. Below is an overview of the current publications available:

This newsletter, published every two months, shares updates, news, and events led by the ICA Forums and Groups. It is the primary source of information for ICA members to stay up-to-date on the Council’s activities.
By agreeing to receive our communications in your ICA profile, you will receive the latest updates directly to your inbox.

Comma is the leading periodical of the International Council on Archives. It is designed to serve not only ICA members but also the broader archival profession. The journal features proceedings from ICA Congresses, reports and studies from ICA Groups (Regional Branches, Professional Sections, and Expert Groups), and special thematic issues. Its content is centered on the research, management, and development of archives and the profession globally.

Flash is a digital publication highlighting ICA activities and recent developments within the archival profession. Published twice a year, it offers a concise summary of ICA achievements and key events. Flash complements the more detailed reports and discussions found in Comma.

The ICA Newsletter compiles the most important updates from the Council, providing news from the global archives community, as well as information on professional content produced by ICA and its partners. This publication is available every two months.

This initiative highlights a different resource each month from the ICA’s Online Resource Centre. It covers vital topics in archival practices, standards, and content produced by ICA groups and external partners, providing valuable insight into key areas of the profession.
