As we look ahead to International Archives Week 2026, we invite our global archival community to help select the central theme that will guide our conversations, collaborations, and actions. Each of the four proposed themes reflects urgent challenges and exciting opportunities facing archives today—from climate resilience to digital transformation, from evolving standards to archival justice in times of crisis, all increasingly shaped by the possibilities and complexities of AI and digital archives.
