Are you part of a group, organisation, or institution eager to host your own side event? Be part of the celebration and register your online or in-person activity on OpenAgenda to contribute to the #IAW2025 Agenda. Let’s show the world how the ICA community is coming together to celebrate International Archives Week 2025 and this year’s theme: #ArchivesAreAccessible. 

For 2025, we strongly encourage submissions that reflect how, in your own context, you are working to make archives more accessible. Whether your event explores physical accessibility, the impact of digital transformation, or any other interpretation that highlights how archives can be for everyone—we welcome your ideas and contributions! 

You can also take inspiration from the subthemes of this year’s theme: 

• Overcoming Barriers to Archive Access 

• Harnessing Technology to Enhance Access 

• Archives in Society: Changing Perceptions 

• Inclusion and Representation in Archival Practices 

Of course, you’re not limited to these topics—any archival narrative that aligns with your mission and audience is welcome. Events can be hosted in English, French or Spanish and from anywhere in the world. 

How to Register Your Event 

1. Create an account on OpenAgenda.
2. Fill in the submission form. 
3. Include all relevant information: 
   1. Event title 
   2. Location (online or physical) 
   3. Date and time 
   4. Short description 
4. Enhance your listing with visuals or multimedia to showcase your work. 

Please note:

Events must be scheduled between Monday 2 June and Friday 20 June 2025 to be included in the official #IAW2025 Agenda. 

Registration is open to the entire community, but only events submitted by ICA members will be featured in our official highlights.  

We encourage you to submit your event by Monday, 26 May to be featured on ICA’s communication platforms.
