Membership categories
We offer two main membership pathways:
* Fees are based on the association’s income.
Membership becomes active once payment is received and is valid for one calendar year (1 January–31 December), regardless of the payment date. Membership fees include an administrative charge.
Please note that it may take a few days for the payment to be processed, after which you will receive your membership number.
By joining the ICA, you become part of a global network that supports archival professionals and institutions in advancing their work, sharing expertise, and preserving documentary heritage worldwide.
Access ICA’s Online Learning Platform at reduced rates, with courses covering records management, digital preservation, collection care, and more.
Apply for financial support through ICA’s Programme Commission (PCOM) and the Fund for the International Development of Archives (FIDA) to support projects and capacity-building initiatives.
The New Professionals Programme (NPP) offers mentoring, networking, and opportunities to engage in ICA activities for those at the beginning of their careers.
Attend ICA congresses, regional conferences, webinars, and specialised symposia at preferential member rates, and connect with peers from around the world.
Take part in International Archives Week (IAW), ICA’s annual global advocacy initiative highlighting the value of archives in society.
Enjoy unrestricted access to ICA’s collection of standards, best-practice guidelines, technical reports, and policy frameworks.
Receive Flash, ICA’s digital magazine, featuring news, interviews, and insights from across the global archival community.
