The Joint Technical Symposium (JTS) 2026 will be held on 3–4 March at the Arc Cinema, National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, in Canberra. Organized by the Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA), JTS is one of the leading international forum for professionals in the preservation and management of audiovisual collections.
This 11th edition marks the first in-person gathering in six years and the first time the event is hosted in Australia. The symposium will focus on four main themes: recent research and innovation in preservation and digitisation; the impact of climate change on audiovisual collections; safety in ageing collections; and the future of magnetic media.
Paper proposals are welcome on new research, innovations, collaborations, and lessons learned from both successes and failures. Submissions close on 15 October 2025.
More information and submission details are available at jts2026.com.au or via email at jts@conlog.com.au.
