The International Council on Archives (ICA) is excited to announce the 2024 Call for Nominations for its Programme Commission (PCOM). This is a unique opportunity for archivists and records management professionals worldwide to help shape the future of ICA’s professional programme.
This marks the third time that ICA has opened nominations for the PCOM elections, following successful rounds in 2021 and 2022. As in previous years, the elections offer ICA members the chance to influence key activities, including overseeing ICA’s expert groups, congresses, conferences, and the strategic professional programmes such as the New Professionals and Training Programmes.
Open Seats for 2024 Elections:
- Two Member-at-Large positions (4-year term)
- One Early Career Representative position (2-year term)
Members from regions underrepresented in the Programme Commission are strongly encouraged to apply, as PCOM strives to increase regional diversity and representation.
How to Apply:
To nominate yourself for one of the open seats, complete the PCOM nomination form and submit a CV (2 pages maximum). The form consists of 15 questions, including a candidate statement and information for the ballot for members-at-large.
Key Dates:
- Nominations open: 19 September 2024
- Deadline: 27 October 2024, 23:59 CET
- Elections: Mid-November 2024
- Successful candidates will begin their terms in early 2025.
