The International Council on Archives is pleased to open applications for a five to six-month internship based at its Secretariat in the Marais district of Paris, with occasional work at the French National Archives site in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. This internship offers students in archival studies a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an international organisation committed to advancing archives and documentary heritage worldwide.
Working under the supervision of the Website and IT Coordinator, and in close collaboration with volunteers from the ICA History Project, the selected intern will contribute to the digitisation of ICA’s historical archival collections and support the organisation and long-term preservation of digitally born records. The internship provides direct experience with both analogue and digital archival workflows, while engaging with ongoing efforts to make ICA’s archives more accessible to the global community.
Applications must be submitted to ica@ica.org by 14 January 2026 at 23:59 CET (Paris time). The position is expected to begin in February 2026. Full details on the internship profile, tasks, requirements, and conditions are available in the complete call, provided in English and French.
