The International Council on Archives (ICA) is pleased to announce the release of a new series of outreach posters developed by the Early Career Professionals Provisional Section. These materials are now available in English, French, and Spanish, and can be downloaded in both full colour and black and white formats.
This initiative is designed to support efforts to promote ICA membership and raise awareness about the benefits of engaging with the international archival community—particularly among students, early-career professionals, and those not yet involved in the ICA network.
Our Mission
The mission of this initiative is to encourage professionals at all stages of their careers—and their institutions—to connect with the global archival community through ICA membership. By expanding engagement, the purpose of this initiative is to strengthen the archival and records management field worldwide.
What the Outreach Project Includes
This project is composed of two key components:
- A presentation, designed to be delivered at universities or institutions interested in archival studies.
- A series of visual posters, offering a clear and engaging snapshot of what the ICA is and how joining can benefit one’s professional development.
Our Audience
The primary audience includes students and new professionals who are currently pursuing studies or are in the early years of their careers.
Explore the Posters
These six posters are available in English, French, and Spanish, and highlight two central themes:
- Why Join ICA? – An introduction to ICA’s mission, membership benefits, and global network.
- New Professionals Programme (NPP) – A focused look at ICA’s initiative for early-career professionals, including testimonials, mentorship opportunities, and networking benefits.
The posters are available in PDF format, in both full colour and black and white versions, and can be downloaded at the end of this page.
This project was funded by the Programme Commission (PCOM) in collaboration with the ICA Secretariat.
