ICA now invites proposals from ICA bodies and voting members (categories A, B and C) to host the Annual Conferences in 2018 and 2019. For 2018, ICA is seeking proposals from ICA bodies and voting members in Africa only.

On 28 November the ICA Secretariat team was delighted to welcome Philippe Bruneau as the new Administration and Finance Manager.         After a master's degree in business administration, Philippe practiced management control in an industrial environment, and thereafter he extended his skills to all the administrative and financial domains of the private sector. For more than 20 years, his experience in associations with European influence has mainly been in the cultural sector of music but also in the area of ​​prevention and urban security.

At its 33rd meeting held November 14-18, the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) continued its discussion of exceptions and limitations for libraries, archives, and museums. A committee of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the SCCR meets twice yearly in Geneva to discuss issues related to the development of a balanced international legal framework for copyright.
