Perú anfitrión del III FIED: Información para los hispanohablantes: ver documento adjunto The 3rd Iberoamerican Forum on Appraisal (FIED) will take place in Lima (Peru), hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Catholic University Sedes Sapientiae, on 24-26 August 2011.

The CITRA takes place in the Spanish city of Toledo the week of 24 October 2011, half an hour away from the Spanish capital, Madrid, and its international airport. Toledo hosts one of the two repositories of the Spanish National Historical Archives and it is a city where Muslims, Jewish and Christians have lived together for centuries.  A new phase has been launched in 2010 for the ICA-Req project which aims at developing a "toolkit" to enable professionals to understand, implement, and disseminate the standard. The working  team is providing us with news about the project progress. 

The project aims to promote the profession of archivist in French-speaking Africa and to convince decision-makers that good governance relies on effective records and archives management, using the example of the Ivory Coast Public Treasure and dynamic communication tools.

Evaluation allows participants' opinions to be gathered and connected with organisers' assessments and CITRA content. These opinions allow the organisers to measure delegate satisfaction, to fill gaps, to correct errors, and allow them the possibility of making significant changes in planning and delivering the event in future. At the CITRA meetings in Oslo in September 2010, the ICA Executive Board, Management Committee and Annual General Meeting all approved plans to conduct a thorough review of the International Conference of the Round Table on Archives.

Important records and archives are being created by local televisions but are not always kept in good conditions. In order to ensure co-operation between archives and local televisions, four different institutions in Cataluña and Andorra have created a permanent monitoring body comprising 20 institutions and organizations, 11 local televisions and 9 archives: the Observatorio Permanente de Archivos y Televisiones Locales (OPATL).
