ICA’s Programme Commission’s (PCOM) meeting in Reykjavik addressed the budget proposal for 2016, preliminary project proposals for funding and overall assessment of the PCOM projects.   The participants discussed the terms of reference and the need for potential members of the new expert group on legal matters in archives and records management with the immediate remit of working on comparative national archival legislation.

Christine Trembleau joined the ICA Paris office team as Marketing and Communication Manager on 10 September. She brings strong skills in Marketing and Business Development thanks to her experience both in companies and agencies.

This year, the 12th General Conference and Seminar of EASTICA will be held in Fukuoka, a historical gateway city to Asia in southern Japan. Under the theme of "Archives in the Digital Era: Revisited", the seminar will review the initiatives brought about by the use of digital technologies, and explore the better solutions and the future development of archives. Marianne Deraze joined the Paris office team as our new part-time website manager on 29 June. In the first instance she will be focussing on the ongoing website redevelopment project.
