Candidate Statement:    

“My higher education in the field of Document Information Sciences, my experience in the organization and management of documentary services as well as the responsibilities held, here and there, either in relation to my field or within associations constitute, for me, great assets that have allowed me to integrate properly into these different groups and to be able to make my contribution on this or that theme. I also acquired a great deal of experience when I participated in the ICA Congress in Abu Dhabi in October 2023. So, once elected as a full member of the PCOM:

• I will contribute a lot to setting up programs, for the smooth running of the ICA, while emphasizing inclusiveness;

• I will advocate a lot for Africa and arab countries, in general and for our country, Burundi, in particular, so that actions are carried out there so that our countries recognize the importance of archives in the daily management of affairs. Thus, they will be able to be aware of their good organization ;

• I will propose projects that can be useful to these countries so that they can evolve with ICT, in the organization and management of archives.”

How can you make the voice of ICA regions underrepresented in PCOM heard?

“I could make the voice of the regions of these regions heard, within the PCOM : by their survey and the preparation of documents to be transmitted within the PCOM ; by the proposal of holding online conferences, where we can invite the managers of archives of different entities and bring them to speak about their state of the places of their documents, their conservation and preservation, etc ; by the preparation of communications relating to the organization and management of archives in these countries, to be presented at the international ICA colloquiums or in PCOM meetings.”
