“I have recently joined ICA and it has been an important discovery. The concerned topics are all so interesting, and also the wide representation is something I consider essential at present. My experience in archival management goes back over 30 years, I have been an active member of the International Group for the VRA (Visual Resources Association) and I believe I could be of support to ICA generally for whatever concerns the archival management, from the preservation of different materials to the processing and finally online availability, mostly referring to the visual resources as photographs and generally digital objects.”

How can you make the voice of ICA regions underrepresented in PCOM heard?

“Even though Italy is already represented, my role at the Photo Archives of the American Academy in Rome is quite specific because I have to deal with European strategies and Institutions, always with an eye on American standards, technologies, and methodologies. This interexchange makes my experience open to approaching the most different archival worlds.”
