Candidate Statement:   

“My contribution to ICA will yield contribution reflecting an illustrious career of over twenty years in libraries, records management, archives and museum. The knowledge and expertise garnered in the field allows me to advance knowledge that will aid in the strategic sustainability agenda of ICA within various subjects namely risk management, strategic planning, environmental management, preservation and conservation, public speaking, people management, financial management, business continuity planning, audit, records management, librarianship, archives management etc.

I am dedicated, discipline and team engaging. I also serve in a similar capacity at OCLC and helped shaped the narrative for standardization and information exchange. My current research focus is on climate actions and circular economy that serves to unearth how we respond to the risks. I trust that this research will also add value to the conversation at ICA.”

How can you make the voice of ICA regions underrepresented in PCOM heard?

“I am an active participant in our Library and Information professional group as well as the designated lead for the Jamaica Library and Information Network. I also maintain good relations with our Trinidad and Tobago Network as well as working relationship with OCLC. This reaches over two persons directly, spanning over 100 institutions.”
