The International Council on Archives invites archives, libraries, universities, NGOs, community groups, and cultural institutions worldwide to submit their events and be featured in the official International Archives Week programme.

What kind of events can you organise?
We welcome events that reflect this year’s theme, including:
- Archives for Accountability: Rule of Law, Truth, and Transitional Justice
- Archives for Memory: Recognition, Human Dignity, and Lived Experience
- Archives for Inclusion: Access, Participation, and Community Empowerment
- Archives, Colonial Legacies, and Non-Sovereign Contexts: Displaced and Shared Heritage
- Archives for Future Justice: Anticipating Rights, Responsibility, and Possibility
You might organise:
- A panel or roundtable discussion
- A community storytelling or oral history project
- A workshop or training session
- An exhibition (physical or virtual)
- A digital innovation or research showcase
All formats and perspectives are welcome. Events can be held online or in person, in English, French, or Spanish, anywhere in the world.

First time submitting? The process is quick and open to all—no prior experience required.
Key information
- Events must take place between Monday, 1 June to Friday, 19 June 2026 to appear in the official agenda
- Submissions are open to all, with ICA member events featured in official highlights
- We recommend submitting your event by Friday, 30 May 2026 to maximise visibility across ICA channels
