The International Council on Archives is thrilled to share the schedule of group meetings taking place on Monday, 27 October, ahead of the ICA Congress in Barcelona. These meetings provide an exceptional opportunity for members to connect, collaborate, and contribute to shaping the future of the global archival community.
On this day, ICA leadership, Professional Sections, Regional Branches, and Expert Groups will come together to exchange ideas, review progress, and discuss key initiatives in the field.
Highlights include:
- Workshops and Section Meetings: Dive into focused sessions such as Sports Archives, Education and Training, Architectural Records, and Literary and Artistic Archives.
- Expert Group Discussions: Explore specialized topics like Managing Digital and Physical Records, Shared Archival Heritage, Legal Matters, and Archival Description.
- Regional Branch Engagement: Connect with peers at the Latin American, Caribbean, and Central Africa Regional Branch meetings.
- Special Interest Groups: Attend open sessions including the Working Group on Sex-Affective and Gender Diversity Archives & Archivists.
Most meetings will be hosted at the CCIB · Barcelona International Convention Center, with additional sessions at the Archive of the Crown of Aragon. Some meetings are open to all ICA members (*), while a few are open to the general public (**).
