International Archives Week 2026 may be over, but the conversations and connections sparked during the week continue.

From 8–12 June 2026, archivists, records managers, memory professionals and institutions from around the world came together under the theme #ArchivesForJustice: Rights, Memory & Futures to explore the vital role archives play in supporting rights, preserving memory and strengthening accountability.

Thanks to your participation, this year’s edition reached impressive milestones:

  • 140+ events registered in the #IAW2026 Agenda
  • 30+ countries represented
  • 50+ case study proposals received
  • 15+ translations of the official poster, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and more
  • 1,000+ social media posts shared throughout the campaign
  • 1,700+ registrations across nine ICA online sessions
  • 800+ attendees joined the live sessions
