The ICA is currently offering two distinct funding opportunities—FIDA and PCOM—choose the right one for your project’s goals!

FIDA Call for Projects 2026

The Fund for the International Development of Archives (FIDA) invites ICA members to submit proposals for archival development projects to be implemented in 2026. FIDA supports projects that help build skills and capacity of archives and records management in a low-resourced community or part of the world.

Funding Details

Each grant will normally not exceed 5,000 Euros. In exceptional cases, funding requests of up to 10,000 Euros may be considered. A maximum of five grants will be awarded.

Application Requirements

Applicants must be ICA members in good standing or partnered with a member organization. ICA Expert and Working Groups, Professional Sections, and Regional Branches are not eligible to apply directly but may support applications submitted by individual or institutional members.

All applications must be submitted using the official FIDA application form and must adhere to the updated guidelines. Applicants are encouraged to consult the guidance documents carefully before applying.

PCOM Call for Projects 2026

The Programme Commission (PCOM) of the ICA is now accepting applications for funding of professional and technical projects aligned with the ICA’s strategic goals. PCOM supports projects that develop events, activities, products or resources likely to be widely shared or used in the ICA and the archival and records management community.

Funding Details

Funding is available for projects up to 5,000 Euros, with a maximum project duration of one calendar year, from January to December 2026. Applications that propose the development of good practice guides are particularly encouraged this year. A separate allocation of up to 10,000 Euros has been reserved specifically for projects in this area, though the individual funding limit per project remains 5,000 Euros.

Application Requirements

Eligible applicants include ICA groups such as Regional Branches, Professional Sections, Expert Groups, and Working Groups, as well as ICA members or staff of institutional members. All applicants must be in good standing, and project leaders must be ICA members

The results of the selection process will be published on the ICA website by January 2026.
