A digital colour image is obtained from a data matrix in which, for each position of the matrix, three RGB values are assigned. The different positions, or cells, of the matrix are the pixels of the image, and each pixel correspond to a photodiode of the camera’s sensor. By assigning a value to each pixel for each RGB colour, a colour gamut of greater or lesser scope can be created, and, therefore, a colour image can be represented.
