As part of its ongoing mission to collect and disseminate information pertinent to the fight against criminal activity involving archives, the Expert Group on Theft, Trafficking, and Tampering (EGATTT) is conducting a survey to identify the needs and priorities of the archival community vis-à-vis archival security.

To this end, EGATTT is reaching out to ICA members, asking that as many institutions and professionals as possible take the time to share their thoughts. Above all, EGATTT hopes to gather information that can help us set out priorities for the coming years, identify existing resources that can be shared, and identify areas where additional resources are needed to assist archival institutions worldwide when dealing with missing items and potential theft.

By participating in this survey, members will play a vital role in helping us to organise future strategies and support systems for institutions dealing with serious issues of concern to all archival professionals.

The survey is available in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic.

This survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Deadline: 20 October 2023
