Upgrading the ICA website is a major feature of our efforts to update our communications strategy and our presentation as an organisation. The new visual identity now sported by our website has long been in the pipeline and has been designed better to transmit our institutional values. This style is vibrant and diverse, intended not only to reflect the importance of these aspects for the ICA network itself but also to engage visitors, both old and new, with the ICA and its missions. The work of the archival community is exciting and vital; in our role as the leading international representative of the archiving and recordkeeping professions, we consider it essential for our presentation to reflect this role and to ensure that to those inside and outside the sector can truly capture this message.

Great care has been taken to enhance site functionalities, with improved accessibility acting as a key motivator in our upgrading operations. The ICA site not only serves to present the organisation but also acts as a platform for our users and groups; as such, ease of use and convenience were among our top priorities. As you explore the site, which is still a work in progress, we hope that you find it both a smoother and more visually appealing experience than in the past. Site pages have been re-written and updated to improve clarity and better express the core values that drive us and our work.

Finally, and importantly, we are determined that this new version of the site should function as a collaborative space we can share with our community. We should, therefore, like to encourage our users to be active as they surf through the site and browse its pages and to share their thoughts with us regarding what works, where further improvements could be made, or the features they would like to see in future updates, via the address: webmaster@ica.org.
