The Forum of National Archivists (FAN) is delighted to announce the preliminary results of the call for nominations for Elected Members of the FAN Steering Committee 2024-2026. This call, opened last February, aimed to elect one representative for each of the following ICA world regions:
- Africa and the Arab countries
- Europe and North America
- Latin America and the Caribbean
Applicants had until 31 March 2024 to submit their applications to the ICA Secretariat. The following applications were received:
Africa and the Arab countries:
- Faisal A. Altamimi
- Bartholomew Marong
Europe and North America:
- Inga Bolstad
Latin America and the Caribbean:
- Ricardo Arturo Moreau Heredia
For the Europe and North America and Latin America and the Caribbean regions, the standard procedure outlined in the ICA Internal Regulations was followed:
- Europe and North America: With only one nomination received, Inga Bolstad is declared the elected member of the FAN Steering Committee.
- Latin America and the Caribbean: Similarly, with only one nomination received, Ricardo Arturo Moreau Heredia is declared the elected member of the FAN Steering Committee.
As for the Africa and the Arab countries region, where two valid applications were received, the voting process has been initiated and will remain open until 13 June 2024.
The incoming members will assume their roles at the Annual/Ordinary General Assembly after the elections.
