The theme of the conference is "Archives Today and Tomorrow: Prospering as a Diversity of Records Dramatically Increase". We are in the era of which the nature of records/information has been changing. They are generated and used in a variety of ways, with a gigantic volume and at a tremendous velocity due to the ever-evolving digital technology; and the technology which deals with the extreme amount of data has also changed our society. Given the situation, EASTICA 2019 will be the opportunity to discuss the shifting role of archives and archivists who confront these difficult circumstances.
