Call for Papers for Special Issue of Comma – The deadline is getting closer!
You still have 2 weeks to submit your proposal for the call for papers for special issue of Comma on “New Professionals in Archives and Records Management”. To discuss this topic further, we encourage contributions on:
- Other new professional schemes and networks (local, national, regional, international)
- Other arrangements supporting individuals new to the archives and records management field
- Experiences of ICA NPP alumni both during their ‘active’ period, and later, including the impact it has had on their careers
- Experiences of new professionals within ICA and/or the international archive scene
- Reflections on training, education, accreditation, and/or ‘professionalism’
- Mentoring schemes
- Reflections on entering the archives and records management field
- Research into any aspect of new professionals’ needs and activities
The Guest editors welcome articles by:
- ICA NPP Alumni
- New professionals around the world
- Mentors, trainers, educators
- Those active in new professional schemes
Proposals for texts should include the name of the author(s), whether you consider yourself a new professional, the title, an abstract (of between 250 and 350 words) which describes what the article will be about, together with the main focus, any relevant research, and conclusions.
Proposals should be sent by January 31, 2023, to joint Editor-in-Chief for Comma, Bethany Anderson (comma@ica.org), and special issue editor, Nicola Laurent (laurent@ica.org).
