International Archives Week #IAW2022

From Monday 6 to Friday 10 June 2022, we will celebrate the fourth International Archives Week #IAW2022 and this year’s theme will be #ArchivesAreYou.

This theme was first launched as part of the third ICA’s social media campaign leading up to #IAW2022, with the goal of inviting archival and records management professionals and organizations to join us in a virtual conversation about what it means to be an archivist and what archival records truly reflect: stories.

During #IAW2022, this virtual conversation will be expanded with a full programme of webinars and an interactive map to show the world why and how #ArchivesAreYou. Have you already included the events that you have planned to celebrate #IAW2022 in our interactive map? Are you interested in attending the webinars prepared with our ICA members?

Be part of #IAW2022 and let’s demonstrate how and why #ArchivesAreYou!

How to be part of #IAW2022 and #ArchivesAreYou?

You could be part of these three ICA advocacy projects by joining us in the following activities:

  • ICA third social media campaign #ArchivesAreYou: Use the hashtag #ArchivesAreYou in your Twitter accounts by replying the questions that we will be sharing with the archival and records management communities. Check out our Trello board to download quote cards, videos and banners to share with the world how and why #ArchivesAreYou!
  • Share your events in the #IAW2022 Map: We will invite the ICA members to include their events in our #IAW2022 interactive map. Have you already completed the form sent via OpenAgenda?
  • #IAW2022 Webinars: In the 5 days dedicated to #IAW2022, ICA members and the ICA Secretariat will host different virtual conversations to further talk about emerging technologies in the archival sector, the current call for applications of the New Professionals Programme, upcoming projects and updates in the work that the ICA does for its members.
