The Call for Papers for the ICA Roma Conference 2022 is still open! You have two months to prepare and submit your proposal for the 9th ICA Conference, to be hosted in 2022 in Rome from the 19th to 23rd of September.
The Rome Programme Committee is inviting professionals from any academic, nonprofit, corporate, or government area within or connected with the archival and records management sector in any part of the world.
We are encouraging proposals discussing different answers to the questions suggested under each of the sub-themes around bridging the democracy, cultural, distance and digital gaps. Proposals focusing on the inability of archives to bridge gaps – or even on how they create them – are also welcome: the aim of the conference is to provide a forum for discussion of different and possibly contrasting viewpoints.
Types of Submissions
Proposals may fall into any of the following categories:
Panel Discussion: 90-minute session including at least 15 minutes for questions from the audience, three to five speakers present on a topic.
Paper Presentation: 30-minute presentation one or more speakers present on a topic, including at least 5-10 minutes for questions.
Lightning Talk: 5-minute session for presenting a project, demonstrating technology or pitching ideas.
Poster: presentation of research, a project, an idea or other type of work in the form of a paper poster.
Workshop: Half day or whole day session on a given topic.
Your idea does not fit these types of submission?
If you have an innovative idea for a session format, you can include it in your proposal as an Alternative Format presentation. Proposals in this category must: 1) specify the format and session facilitator and 2) describe briefly how the format will enhance presentation of the material.
