Dear SLMT members and friends
This has been an extraordinary year by any standards with the global pandemic caused by COVID19.
We wanted to highlight some of the stories of City Archives and Regional Archives who have been diverting their resources towards digital engagement with new audiences. At London Metropolitan Archives our onsite talks to 25 people have suddenly become online webinars with 125 people – a far wider reach out to audiences. We would also like to capture some images of how archives are responding to the challenges of reopening in new, more socially distanced ways. Our buildings and services are looking very different. We have been through this together and I know a lot of City Archives and Regional Archives have already been sharing a lot of information online.
