EUROPEAN ARCHIVAL LANDSCAPE: REACHING OUT FOR NEW HORIZONS, Split –Trogir, 14-16 March 2018
ICARUS Hrvatska together with the consortium ICARUS (International Center for Archival Research), State Archives in Split and other partners organize the 4rd Croatia ICARUS days under the theme European archival landscape: Reaching out for new horizons. The conference will take place in Trogir at Hotel Medena premises, from March 14th to 16th 2018.
The ICARUS and its members will present a variety of activities on digitization and protection of the written heritage as well as current archival projects and programs across Europe, including co:op Monasterium, Matricula, Topotheque and latest initiatives such as European Flagship project Time Machine. Ongoing joint archival activities, with emphasis on Archives Portal Europe and EURBICA themes such as Safe Havens for Archives at Risk and shared archival heritage will also be presented at conference, as well as other actual topics regarding digital heritage, use and reuse of digital information, open GLAM and various cross-borders portals and current programs in the culture and science field.
In this occasion, results and potentials of Croatian archives and other heritage institutions in this area will also be present through DARIAH, National GLAM Cataloging Rules and other current digitization and digital humanistic projects and initiatives.
Participation in conference is free of costs and it includes also working lunches and the gala dinner on March 15th. The conference languages are Croatian and English.
