Meet the ICA Fellows!
Meet Joan Boadas I Raset from Spain, awarded the ICA Fellow Award in 2022, who argues in the following video (only in Spanish) why there is immense power in records. Boadas mentions that they help us to create a connection between the past, present and the future. “We exist thanks to the records”, is one of the phrases that he uses to help us reflect on this idea:
A prolific author, specialist in audiovisual archives, communicator and dedicated leader for more than four decades, Joan Boadas has had a significant impact locally and internationally. He has been actively involved in ICA as an executive member of PCOM, EURBICA, SPA and in various scientific committees. Colleagues have remarked on his “tireless and persevering spirit”. Amongst his over 200 publications, the thirty titles in the series Archivos XXI which he coordinated and directed, are of benefit to professionals, students and the public alike.
