The ICA Abu Dhabi Congress 2023 Programme Committee was delighted with the number of posters received for the October Congress. Last year, at ICA Roma 2022 was the first year that we introduced the ICA Posters Awards. These Awards have been organised to share the excellent contributions that we have received in this format and to promote the participation of our community.
Nearly 75 posters were judged by the Committee during Poster Sessions which took place on 10 and 11 October. The results were announced on Friday, 13 October during the Closing Ceremony. We would like to congratulate all those professionals who presented their posters at the Congress, with a special congratulations to those who received awards.
The Prizes
This year, a total of 5 prizes were awarded:
3 prizes for the most outstanding posters, all categories and themes combined;
1 prize for the best poster authored by a New Professional (i.e., with less than 5 years of experience in the field);
1 prize for the best poster in the category Originality / Look into the Future.
The Posters Awards Committee reviewed all the posters and selected the Most Outstanding Posters 2023 based on the following evaluation criteria:
Clarity of the take-home message
Well-designed and creative poster
Clear and informative content
Alignment with the Congress theme and subthemes
Presentation of new or significant results and outcomes
The same criteria were also followed to select the Best Poster Authored by a New Professional. The Best Poster for Originality / Look into the Future was selected based on its unconventional or innovative content and/or presentation.
