Records in Contexts – Introduction to Archival Description (RiC-IAD) is a brief introduction to the principles and purpose of archival description and, as such, is the first part of Records in Contexts standard.
It was first published in 2016 as part of RiC-CM 0.1, and it is is now a revised independent document.
The latest public release of RiC-IAD is RiC-IAD 0.2, that can be used along with with RiC-Conceptual Model 0.2 and RiC-O 0.2.
RiC-IAD 0.2 is a draft. It will continue to evolve, the next milestone being the release of RiC-IAD 1.0, which will take place in 2022, at the same time as RiC-CM 1.0. and RiC-O 1.0.
