Selected FIDA Projects 2024

We would like to thank all the applicants who submitted their proposals in response to the Call for Projects 2024 of the Fund for the International Development of Archives (FIDA). The FIDA Board of Directors considered initiatives submitted from many different parts of the world, including Brazil, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Slovakia, and Zimbabwe, among others.

List of 2024 FIDA Projects   

1. Project: Tatuoca Magnetic Observatory Archive (TTB): rescue, digitisation and data extraction of physical records from the period 1957-2007 / Brazil

2. Project: Recovery of the documentary heritage of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellin Campus / Colombia

3. Project: Developing a Training Programme for Community Archivists in Indigenous and Rural Communities in Peninsular Malaysia / Malaysia
   Project Leader: Rodney Obien, Keene State College 
4. Project: Feasibility Study: Raising Awareness of the Importance of Protecting Archives in Senegal / Senegal
   Project Leader: Senegalese Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (ASBAD)  
5. Project: Implementation of Atom and Archivematica software platforms at the Department of National Archives of Sri Lanka / Sri Lanka
   Project Leader: Dr Nadeera Rupesinghe 
6. Project: Revival of Microfilming Technology at the National Archives of Zimbabwe – Purchase of Microfilm Readers / Zimbabwe 
   Project Leader: Amos Bishi
