PCOM Call for Projects 2024 – Live Q&A

The webinar will be divided into a presentation delivered by Meg Phillips explaining the objectives of the Programme Commission, the timeline for the current call for projects, and general criteria for the assessment of projects with examples of successful past projects. After this, the floor will be open to participants to ask questions.  
Transforming Heritage: From 2D to 3D Digitisation – Webinar 2 
Friday 10 November 15:00 – 16:00 CET (Paris time) 
This webinar, titled “Boosting 3D digitisation for research and reuse of cultural heritage collections” will feature a talk from Marinos Ioannides of the Cyprus University of Technology, along with an introduction from Antonella Fresa of Photoconsortium and a conclusion from John Balean of Topfoto. 
EGAD International Study Day on Early Implementations of Records in Contexts
Wednesday 15 November 9:15 – 17:30 CET (Paris time) 
EGAD will be publishing versions 1.0 of RiC-CM and RiC-O in November 2023, thereby officially releasing both resources in their fully developed form. After several years of dedicated work and response to user feedback, this is an important milestone for both EGAD and the international archival community. EGAD are thus, in collaboration with the Archives Nationales de France, using the occasion to organise a study day spotlighting the fascinating projects that have already been developed using RiC since the release of its first draft in 2016. 
ICA/SPO Virtual Round Table: Collecting, Preserving and Promoting archives of Sports in the context of the Olympic Games

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the ICA, the Section on Sports Archives (SPO), invites you to take part in an online round table about the archives of sports and of the Olympic Games. In this virtual session, the guests will be discussing the tasks of collecting, preserving and promoting archives of sports and of the Olympic Games in the context of the preparation for the next Olympic Games, which will take place in Paris in 2024. 
ICA Training Programme Webinar / Stewardship of Digital Archives: An Overview and Discussion of Opportunities for Learners
Thursday 30 November 16:00 – 17:00 CET (Paris time)
This virtual session will offer an in-depth breakdown of the “Managing Digital Archives” online class and the practical skills it is designed to develop in learners by drawing extensively on the materials developed for the course. Participants will not only receive a primer of the knowledge contained within the course itself but will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the course and its content directly to the co-authors themselves.
