The call for nominations for the Vice President Programmes is now open and will remain open until 13 August 2021. 
The Vice President (Programmes) has ultimate responsibility for projects, partnerships and other initiatives that are included in the ICA’s professional programmes, and also for the alignment of these activities with the organisation’s strategic objectives. The Vice President chairs the Programme Commission (PCOM) and oversees the work of the strategic Programmes, PCOM projects and ICA Expert Groups, and works closely with the Forum of National Archivists (FAN), Forum of Professional Associations (FPA). The incumbent to this position will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of PCOM reforms to make the committee election processes more transparent and inclusive as well as overseeing constitutional reforms. Finally, this role works in collaboration with the other ICA Elected Officers (President and Vice President (Finance) and the Secretary General. For more information on PCOM and the work of the Vice President (Programmes) prospective candidates can read their reports. 
This position does require a significant time commitment and the successful candidate should be willing to set aside at least 15 hours a week and should be able to speak English and have some facility with French and/or Spanish. 
Only ICA members in good standing may present themselves as candidates. Please note that in good standing means that a member has no arrears and is up to date with their ICA membership fees. Any member regardless of membership category (i.e. A, B, C or D) may submit their nomination to this post.

All interested candidates should submit the following documentation as part of their nomination package to ica@ica.org: 
A brief curriculum vitae (no more than two (2) pages) in French and English 
A position statement presenting your vision for the Programme Commission, its work and strategic direction (maximum 500 words) in French and in English.  
Three (3) letters of support from ICA members. Please note that these names will be published, but not the letters of support. 
If more than one qualified candidate presents themselves for this position there will be an election, the names of the candidates along with their nomination documentation (CV, position statement and the names of supporters) will be announced in the week commencing 16 August, following which balloting will commence, if applicable. The entire nomination and election process will be overseen by the Evaluation Commission.
