The main ICA governance meetings of the second semester took place in#ICARoma2022from 19 to 21 September. The Programme Commission (PCOM) kicked off the week on the 19th with its first face-to-face session after three years of virtual meetings. A number of PCOM members reached the end of their term in office at this session and, as result, the upcoming PCOM call for nominations was discussed to select candidates for the following seats: 

three seats for PCOM members at large, 
one seat for an early-career representative, 
two seats for PCOM Programme Liaisons (New Professionals and Training).

In addition to this call, an upcoming campaign was also presented for supporting efforts to recruit new participants from under-represented regions to the expert groups. 

Other updates shared in this meeting were the call for PCOM Projects 2023 to be launched in October 2022, the ICA Abu Dhabi Congress call for papers to be published in November 2022, and the PCOM Strategic plan for 2023. 

The second meeting of the week was the Executive Board (EB) on 20 September. At this meeting, the Section Chairs, Branch Presidents, Forum Presidents and Elected Officers, among others, had the chance to review and discuss the reports and updates from the different ICA bodies and committees, including the Forum of National Archivists (FAN) and the Communications and Partnership Sub-Committee.

Furthermore, the EB approved the nomination of Sharon Alexander-Gooding to the FIDA Presidency and were informed about the change in leadership of the Forum of Professionals Associations (FPA). The nomination of Cédric Champagne of the Association des Archivistes du Québec to be the new FPA President was finally approved on 21 September at the FPA Steering Committee.  

At the General Assembly (GA) that took place on the first day of the conference, ICA Category D members had their first chance to vote on decisions on items the meeting agenda. Two proposals were approved by the Extraordinary General Assembly: online voting at both EB and GA, and proxy voting at the EB.

At the GA, members welcomed the new Elected Officers: Josée Kirps, ICA President; Gustavo Castaner Marquardt, ICA Vice-President Finances; and the ICA Executive Board Category “D” member at large 2022-2026, Giovanni Michetti. 

One of the highlights of the Assembly was the announcement of the members named ICA Fellows in 2022. Four professionals were granted this distinction, which is the highest honour that the ICA can bestow on an individual for outstanding contributions to the ICA and the archival profession internationally.
