The International Council on Archives (ICA) held a four-day workshop, Digitisation, Digital Preservation, and Emergency Response for Endangered Archival Collections, in Warsaw, Poland, from 16–19 September 2025. Organised in partnership with the Institute of National Remembrance, the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage (ALIPH), and the State Archival Service of Ukraine, the workshop brought together experts for hands-on sessions, site visits, and discussions to strengthen archival capacity worldwide. Paris I 17 October 2025 - A wide range of topics will be explored, including documentation in situations of conflict or humanitarian crisis, access to information and data protection, the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in the sector, as well as the relationship between archives and processes of memory building.  - Mercè Crosas, Trudy Peterson and Alan Cobley are the three keynote speakers who will deliver the main lectures on each day of the congress.

A cornerstone guide for protecting archives and documentary heritage is now available in French. Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness: A Manual for Protecting Archives has been translated by Claude Roberto and David Rajotte, making this essential resource accessible to French-speaking archives professionals worldwide.
