FAN statement of support for the HRWG

Just over two years ago, the Draft Basic Principles On the Role of Archivists In Support Of Human Rights were written by the ICA Human Rights Working Group (HRWG). FAN was asked for its views on these Basic Principles, and in early 2018, a paper summarising the key issues raised was drafted, along with proposed next steps. FAN members were also consulted on their views to provide a statement of support for the HRWG’s work to date. The statement was agreed at the Paris meetings, and it is now available to read.
