Information for authors

Paper presentations

Length: 30 minutes. Presentations should allow at least 5 to 10 minutes for questions from the audience.

Please, note that the slides will have to be in PowerPoint or in .pdf and that authors will have to bring them on a USB drive to the Slides Center, inside the Conference Venue.

 

Workshops and panel discussions

All listed presenters have to be present during their workshops and roundtable. Chairs are expected to take charge of time management and to allow sufficient time for questions and discussion with the audience.

Notes: There will be no official provision for translation; facilitators are welcome and encouraged to make their own arrangements for translation of oral and written material

 

Lightning Talks

Poster presentations

Rules

  1. Size: the poster's maximum size should be A0 (84cmx119cm / 33x46 inches in vertical format).
  2. Layout: portrait (ie, vertical)
  3. Font-size: any
  4. Font-style: any
  5. Number of characters: any
  6. Drawings and graphics: any
  7. Limits to rules 3-6: posters must readable from a distance of 1 mt.
  8. Someone must be in attendance during the advertised poster sessions, answering questions posed by passing colleagues.

Suggestions

  • Print images adopting at least a 150 dpi resolution
  • Adopt at least a 60 pt font-size for the title, a 32 pt font-size for the key phrases, a 18 pt font-size for the text
  • Use the same font-style throughout the poster
  • Put on the poster a reference (URL, QR code, social media hashtag, …), if any, where the poster can be downloaded. In alternative, bring copies of the poster in A4 format (210 x 297 mm) or bring a narrative version of it, with contact details, so that they can be provided to those showing interest in the poster

Please, note that authors will have to bring their own posters already printed to the Conference.

 

If you have a slide presentation

At the conference, you will find a Slides Center to leave your slides. You just need to bring a USB drive with your slides in it. No technical devices will be requested.

More information regarding the Slides Center is yet to be defined.
